In QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Self-Employed, open the Mileage tab (or select “Track Mileage” on mobile). You can enable Auto-track (GPS-based) or add trips manually by entering start/end points or odometer readings. Each trip is stored under your mileage log for categorization.
QuickBooks records the trip date, starting and ending locations (or odometer readings), total distance, vehicle used, and allows you to mark each trip as Business or Personal. You can also add notes or attach receipts to individual trips.
